Nothing bad will happen in the daylight. As long as the sun is shining and there’s gas in the car, it will be fine.

I just need to keep my mind straight, pay attention to where I’ve already been, get out from under Jack and Diane revolving in my head, leftover from thirty years ago. They must have grown up by now, maybe died, together or not. Their story is over.

They can’t help me find Blue Fox Lane. It’s not their job; they’ve never been here. How would they know where to look?

But who else can I ask?
