Happiness. It's relative.
By accident
Unintentionally
Stepping in with thin-soled shoes
Pretending to be a braver person
Than I was or had ever been
Pretending to be
Someone who adopts strangers
From foreign countries
Apologizing right away
For speaking another language
Neither of us understood
Love can overcome all barriers geographical or language. Well written.

I’ve been sitting here rereading that last line and reinterpreting it. It’s so malleable. Is it the language or the fledgling relationship or the significance of that moment that went misunderstood?

Love knows no boundaries, not even language barriers. Nice take on the prompt. ♥

What a great beginning for both of you. I really like the photo and the capture of the wait staff, when you’re waiting period was over. ‘Pretending’ used twice, and thin-soled shoes shows how delicate/difficult the process must have been.
