Ultimately, I think a good marriage is about kindness. My husband does better at this than I do although I keep trying.
What is kindness? It’s patience, humor and generosity. Nowhere has my husband’s kindness been more evident than in its unfailing support during the worst times of my hearing loss.
My trial was hearing loss. But everyone has challenges: being overwhelmed with work, children and life, the day to day. We can either pull together or pull apart at those times.
